After achieving a series of pioneering career successes, Mario, with the unwavering support of his wife and business partner Cheryl, embarked on building his own beauty business empire. In 1977, Mario's eponymous salon grandly opened at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. 

With the significant growth and success of the business, Cheryl once again sought to break new ground, focusing on enhancing the overall salon experience.

Determined to break away from the traditional hair salon model, Cheryl, with her keen sense of fashion and professional skincare training, conceived a modern salon concept that integrated comprehensive luxury spa services.

In 1986, the Mario Tricoci Hair Salon and Day Spa officially opened in Arlington Heights, which is widely regarded as one of the premier "day spas" in the United States.

Cheryl's pioneering vision has earned her much acclaim, and she is often hailed as the pioneer of the first "day spa" in the United States.
