Kose Acquires Stake in Indian Skincare Brand Foxtale to Expand Market Presence

Today (January 15th), according to the official website announcement, the well-known Japanese cosmetics giant, Kose Group (hereinafter referred to as "Kose"), has acquired a 10% stake in the Indian cosmetics company Foxtale Consumer Pvt. Ltd. and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the company.
Kose stated in the announcement that going forward, it will support Foxtale's formula and product development based on its R&D and product development expertise.
At the same time, Kose will also obtain relevant marketing knowledge about the Indian local market from Foxtale to strengthen its business development in India.
Public records show that Foxtale Consumer Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Mumbai, India, in 2021 by Romita Mazumdar. The brand "Foxtale" is a skincare brand centered on direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales.
The brand focuses on the development of skincare products through iterative prototyping based on consumer experience and feedback.
Since its inception, Foxtale has grown rapidly and has now become a highly influential local skincare brand in the Indian market. It is reported that the niacinamide serum is one of Foxtale's flagship products.
