IBM and L'Oréal Partner to Revolutionize Beauty with AI
IBM announced on its official website that it has reached a technical cooperation with the renowned beauty brand L'Oréal.
Through generative AI, IBM will help L'Oréal uncover new insights from cosmetic formula data, utilize sustainable raw materials, and reduce energy and material waste.
IBM will develop a customized AI foundation model, which will significantly enhance the capabilities of L'Oréal's R&D and innovation teams to achieve higher performance and consumer satisfaction in every cosmetic category and region.
The creation of the AI model will leverage a vast amount of formula and ingredient data points, accelerating multiple tasks that L'Oréal needs to execute, including the formulation of new products, re-formulation of existing cosmetics, and optimization of large-scale production.
These tools will better equip L'Oréal's 4,000 researchers globally over the next few years.
