In 2013, Kose established a local subsidiary, KOSé Corporation India PVT. ltd., and in 2014, it launched a skincare brand called “Spawake,” which was specifically developed to meet the consumer demands of the Indian market.
This time, by investing in the rapidly growing Indian skincare brand Foxtale, Kose aims not only to promote Foxtale's growth in the local market but also to leverage the strategic partnership to maximize the use of Foxtale's marketing knowledge and expertise in the Indian market, thereby further enhancing Kose's position in the Indian beauty market.
In the announcement, Kose also noted that in the future, it will explore joint business ventures with the company through the establishment of a joint venture.
India is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world and has the largest population globally.
The beauty and personal care market is valued at approximately 2.5 trillion yen (about 116.72 billion yuan), and it is expected to continue growing, with high growth rates anticipated for skincare and cosmetics.
